The Basics for Getting Up and Running

The steps mentioned here assume that you have already installed ManageMore on your computer system.  If this is a network installation, please read our documentation geared for network setup.

Single Computer Installation
A single computer installation will rarely require any special workstation setting considerations.  However, we do recommend that you consider our OS recommendations for the best experience possible.

OS Recommendations and Compatibility

Windows '95
Intellisoft no longer officially supports this operating system for use with ManageMore.

Windows '98
Intellisoft no longer officially supports this operating system for use with ManageMore.

Windows ME (Millennium Edition)
Intellisoft no longer officially supports this operating system for use with ManageMore.

Windows NT 4.0
This operating system was meant for business users and is Microsoft's first real business oriented operating system.  Hardware compatibility is probably the only real drawback to this OS, but nevertheless, a worthy candidate OS for running business applications.

Windows 2000
This is a recommend OS for use with ManageMore.   Windows 2000 is extremely stable and somewhat more user friendly than Windows NT.

Windows XP Professional
This is a recommended OS for use with ManageMore.  It has the perfect mixture of performance, stability, ease of use, and simple-to-configure networking.   However, DO NOT use the Windows XP home edition if you are planning on using your computer over a network.  This home edition of Windows XP is missing many capabilities for true networking of applications.
